Meet Andrea
For Andrea, sewing is a passion, and each piece of clothing she alters, repairs or creates is a testament to her dedication to high quality sewing services. From the first chat with you, to the final fitting, Andrea ensures every detail is precisely attended to.
Andrea’s expertise covers a wide range of clothing styles, from wedding dresses to suits, formal wear to contemporary and casual fashion, garment alterations and repairs.
Andrea’s journey into the world of sewing began from a young age. Her passion for sewing, patternmaking and fashion garments was ignited, watching her mother sew. Andrea made her first top at only 7 years old, and she has continued to perfect her craft ever since.
After gaining qualifications in patternmaking and industrial sewing, Andrea began her career as a machinist in Christchurch before moving to Brisbane to work on leather jackets, uniforms, corporate wear, shoes and even lounge suits. Andrea enjoyed working with wonderful and creative people from all over the world.
Back to Christchurch, Andrea and her husband brought up their family. Andrea continued her career and made leather garments, altered bridal and formal wear, produced bags, handbags, and slippers. Andrea has been involved in every aspect of the sewing industry and now has her own workshop.
